let’s get physical
andy cooper’s personal trainer is spilling the beans about how he keeps his #1 client in shape. seems the sacred bird works out at least 5 times a week and really likes to get his run on while building muscle. here’s the lowdown on the workout:
- isolation: he focuses on one or two muscle groups a day for strength building and at least two days a week for endurance.
- gym workout: a 1K run, 50 pull-ups, 1K run, 50 box jumps, 1K run, 50 body slams, 1K run, 150 push-ups and another 1K run.*
- road warrior workout for planet in peril stints: running, push-ups, pull-ups.
- likes and dislikes: likes upper-body work and running; his least favorites are legs and squats.
if you want to look like andy, his trainer tj johnson says “get yourself a carb chart, eat clean and avoid processed foods.”
* the article says that andy works out at the ‘local gym’. it sounds nice and normal but rumor around town is that dude works out at the super posh equinox training gym at the time warner center in nyc. it may be urban legend but entrance to the gym is by retinal scan and will set you back a cool $2K bones a month with a $5K initiation fee.
