our favorite "renaissance" man
usa weekend, the weekend magazine for usa today, sure is milking it for all it’s worth. this weekend’s coverboy was none other than our sacred bird, anderson cooper. building up to this week’s issue, the usa weekend blog published a story in august with some details of the photo shoot. a few days ago, some exclusive photos from that photo shoot and pieces of the interview that didn’t make the final cut were also published on their blog. then of course, there’s the actual interview.
it’s all worth the read because let’s face it, it’s about andy. but if you really need some enticement, here’s some highlights:
- a guard escorts him home each night
- he’s got a handi wipe in a plastic bag in his office (from saddam hussein’s jail cell)
- he doesn’t think he’d be interested in the meet the press job
- he speaks with a slight stutter sometimes
- in his mind, he still thinks of his hair as brown
