with all the controversy lately about the trials for five of the accused 9/11 plotters being held in nyc , there’s been no room for news about the role the subway sandwich company will play in the rebuilding of the space. subway’s new location will be opening by the end of the month and it will be located literally alongside the new freedom tower. built in a shipping container, the subway shop will be atop a crane and will rise as the building grows, all the way up to the 105th floor which is the planned height for the building. the shop will allow construction workers to save time without having to go up and down the building during lunchtime. in addition to subs, the steel construction will also include a bathroom and offices.
