i bet they layoff santa next
the u.s. postal service reported losses of $3.8b smackers in the past fiscal year, $1b smackers more than fiscal 2008 losses. this comes despite the cut of 40K career employees and slashed expenses, so much so that the postal service’s cfo joseph corbett called it one of the most challenging years in postal office history. to stop the bleeding, the postal service will approach congress and recommend that mail delivery go from six days to five days a week and they’ll look for other ways to make money (the recession has tanked mail advertising as has the internet).
i’m betting they layoff santa because the overnight express charges on the holiday must be blowing the whole damn budget. no word if the reindeer will strike.
