one day…
after getting the blue screen of death one too many times i decided it was time for a new computer and i was considering whether i should buy an ibm or an apple–they both run microsoft apps right? i sat down at my desk, cracked open an ice cold coca-cola and started researching on google. after an hour or so, i needed to take a break from research so i decided to pop out to mcdonald’s for some fries–i considered stopping by the bodega for a pack of marlboro lights (but i remembered i don’t smoke) and headed back to my house. i decided to call one of my techie friends for advice but my phone kept dropping calls and i said ‘mobile service blows–the peeps in the uk have a good thing going with vodafone as do the peeps in china — they get it done with china mobile.’ then, all of a sudden, an idea came to me, you know, like in cartoons when one of those g.e. lightbulbs appears over the character’s head–i thought “duh…buy an ipad.”
