cha-ching

cashregisterus banks will make a record $38B in overdraft fees this year, an amount that has doubled since the year 2000. not surprisingly, the biggest banks– citigroup, bank of america, jp morgan chase, and wells fargo–charge the highest fee (median fee this year for an overdraft is $26).

how else did you think they were going to pay back the expenses associated with this mess?
