they pulled a ‘john kerry’

remember back in 2004 when john kerry said he was “for the war before he was against it?”.  well, consumer reports has pulled a “kerry” and is now against the iphone, even though about a month ago they were for it. the trusted consumer organization confirmed that the iphone 4 has a reception problem (we told you about this last week).  the statement on their electronics blog reads “When your finger or hand touches a spot on the phone’s lower left side—an easy thing, especially for lefties—the signal can significantly degrade enough to cause you to lose your connection altogether if you’re in an area with a weak signal. Due to this problem, we can’t recommend the iPhone 4.” they go on to say that they tested the phones using some super hardcore frequency chamber and that their findings call into question, apples kinda lame excuse about the reception calculator is flawed.

the fix for the problem?  they say put some masking tape over the problem area.  i think it looks much better with the livestrong band.
