what are you reaching for at 3 a.m.?

so, i have a fresh direct delivery coming right at the start of tonight’s debate between barack obama and hilary clinton. as one to always obsess over the next meal, i’ll have quite a decision to make as i settle in to fight night.

according to this article, what i pull out of the cupboard may determine which way i’m voting.

“IF there’s butter and white wine in your refrigerator and Fig Newtons in the cookie jar, you’re likely to vote for Hillary Clinton. Prefer olive oil, Bear Naked granola and a latte to go? You probably like Barack Obama, too. And if you’re leaning toward John McCain, it’s all about kicking back with a bourbon and a stuffed crust pizza while you watch the Democrats fight it out next week in Pennsylvania.”

the article goes on to discuss the concept of microtargeting (using brand loyalty to garner votes), a strategy first used and made popular by the king of political strategy, mr. karl rove. *

i’ll most likely break out brussel sprouts, veggie burger, and red wine tonight. this so doesn’t mean i’m voting for ralph nader.

* the strategy was also used by recently ousted persona non-grata mark penn
