you might’ve already heard but tiger woods was in a car accident (cause who hasn’t heard by now). tmz was the first to say that the facial lacerations woods suffered was not from his car crashing into a fire hydrant but from his wife, elin nordegren. after the accident woods release a vague statement saying no one was to blame but himself for the accident. absent of any real news to report, the media, bloggers and the public was left to their own creativity on what happened. and creative they have been. spirit airline is running an “eye of the tiger” promo (see a pic of the ad on right) and tons of user generated video/parodies have been uploaded to youtube including one from a taiwanese news station that includes a cgi of what happened (see this and another popular video below).
as of today, women suspected of having had affairs that caused the martial blow up stand at three. woods released the following statement today “I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves.” seems like woods is going to end up paying a lot more than the $164 fine for the car accident. this will no doubt leave a dent on his sparkly image.
