things in the o.c. have become tough. home prices are down 30% and one in 250 houses are at risk of foreclosure. the housewives of orange county have found some creative ways to make a little cash to pay for the little extras they have grown to love: gold parties. at gold parties, ladies can unload their jewelry to a dealer for 60% of market price and then the dealer resells it to a refinery for 95% of the market rate o($900 per ounce). amie larson went to a party and made enough money selling the gold given to her by her ex-husband to pay for her new husband’s birthday party. others are using the cash to go out to dinner or by art.
if you think i was kidding about the sale of other things (i.e., boobs), i’m not. one of the classy ladies from bravo’s tv show “the real housewives of orange county”, tamra barney (pictured here on a subway poster) recently announced that she was selling her first set of fake boobs on ebay.
