so there’s a new show on cbs called swingtown*. it’s a show that brings us back to the 70s and the days when mom and dad had “parties” with their friends. this new show debuts at the same time that two books are being released. these books are not so much about swinging, but about bringing back sex into the boring sex lives of married couples. the first book, 365 nights is written by the mullers, “a bible-studying steak-eating Republicans from charlotte, n.c. the second book by doug and annie brown, “backpacking multigrain northerners” of boulder, colorado wrote just do it.
i’m beginning to think the s in suburb is for sexy.
*i’m also interested in the show because it brings grant show of melrose place fame back to the tube. come to think of it, that show made swinging hip in the 90s.
