it’s almost like watching divorce court
veronica lario, the wife, wrote a public letter that was published in an italian newspaper criticizing her husband, the italian prime minister, for his roving eye saying she wanted a divorce. according to the wife, her husband’s coalition plans to nominate young attractive women for the european parliament and she thinks this is a no no. there’s also the incident of the diamond necklace he bought for a young female 18 year old for her birthday. the husband, prime minister silvo berlusconi, doesn’t seem to bothered by it and has even gone so far as to demand a public apology from his wife. when asked if there was a chance the couple would reconcile, he answered “Veronica will have to publicly apologize to me. And I don’t know if that will be enough.” i say, don’t hold your breath for the apology. but then again, you never know how things will turn out in divorce court.
