german scientists found that red bull’s cola drink has traces of cocaine. bernhard kuehnle, head of the food safety department at germany’s federal ministry for consumer protection, told the german press that while the 0.13 micrograms of cocaine per can of the drink does not pose a serious health threat — it was cause for concern. to get high you’d have to drink 12,000 liters of the stuff. the makers of red bull insist that the coke is used only as a flavoring agent and that during the manufacturing process the cocaine alkaloid is removed.
