that’s why billy always had that snarl
everybody’s facebook status is lamenting the non-stop rain that is pounding the northeast (and other parts of the country too). an article in the new york times is making me rethink my want for it to get “hot in the city” billy idol style. according to the article which analyzed data from open-records requests with the new york po-po department found that murders rise in june, july, august, and september. here are some interesting facts:
- women are less likely to be killed or the killers. but when they are killed, it’s usually by someone they knew.
- brooklyn has the most homicides. the bronx has the most per capita.
- guns are the most popular tool used in homicide.
- midnite to 8 am is the popular time to commit the homicide (people are drunk, doing drugs, and reveling).
