that’s a lot of crap
according to the youtube blog, 20 hours of video are uploaded to youtube every minute. 1200 minutes of video content for every 1 minute. in mid 2007, it was 6 hours of content for every 1 minute. in january 2009, it grew to 15 hours of video for every 1 minute. it won’t be long before we hit 24 hours. this gets me wondering what people are uploading. a quick look of the recent videos uploaded show
- a commercial for hotel petit palace plaza in spain
- some people filming the view from their apt, to show the storm that has not yet arrived
- a stop motion animation of les miserables
- a jonas brothers video montage
- a video of a kitten and cat playing
i guess i should say thanks to youtube. i don’t know what i would do without these videos. i guess that’s exactly why time magazine listed it as one of the 10 biggest tech failures.
