the art of packing
i hear that some in the news biz keep a bag packed in the office in case they need to leave town at the drop of a hat. how is that possible when they have no idea where they can be headed? i can’t even figure out what to pack for a five day trip. will it be too hot for jeans? will jeans and sneakers be considered too casual? and speaking of sneakers, how many pairs of shoes will one need for five days? are three pairs of shoes – gym sneakers, casual shoes for walking around , business casual shoes – enough? i guess for the on air news “talent”, a nice shirt is all you need. you don’t need to worry about shoes since they only see you from the waist up on camera.
hmm… i guess that explains where he got his habit of leaving town with only a shirt in hand.
