the new security blanket
celebrities, designers, buyers and journalist are all in nyc this week for the infamous ny fashion week. if you’re into that kind of thing, one show i’d recommend is the snuggie fashion show. unless you’ve been living in a third world country with no tv for the past year, you know what the snuggie is. with over 4 million sold, this blanket with sleeves that got its start as an as-seen-on-tv product has penetrated pop culture and can be found everywhere. a woman was spotted during obama’s inauguration with it, there was a snuggie pub crawl in chicago and some folks at fox news has even made their own commercial for the monk-like robe/blanket.
the fashion show, as promised by the invite, will cover the “ sexiest looks in blanket-wear and adult, kid and even canine models will hit the runway.”
