think before you upload
who knew that random photo you uploaded to flickr.com might be contributing to some statistical analysis. we use flickr a lot here on sacredbird so this new study from cornell which found the most photograph places based on the photos on flickr was interesting to us. the most photographed landmarks on earth? that would be the eiffel tower followed by trafalgar square followed by the tate modern. new york city was the most photographed city (1,204,137 photos) by the most photographers (35,860 photographers) with the empire state building being the favorite landmark. interestingly, the apple store ranked 5th as the most photographed “landmark” in new york city. here’s a small snapshot of the data:
