think twice about going old school
remember the story 630 posted yesterday about retro mountain dew and pepsi? well, it seems like mountain dew is causing a few dental problems up in appalachia. last week on 20/20, diane sawyer’s “a hidden america: children of the mountains” detailed the lives of poor appalacian children and the troubles they encounter. one of them being the effects of prolonged mountain dew consumption. according to mediabistro, the special “brought 20/20 its biggest friday night audience in more than four years, [and] has prompted approximately $60,000 in donations so far to the nonprofit christian appalachian project.” click here to watch a clip of the video.
