it’d be like the african ant-eater ritual dance
in taiwan there is a restaurant that is growing in popularity called “modern toilet” where you:
- are seated on an acrylic toilet decorated with roses, seashells, or renaissance paintings.
- you dine at a glass table with a sink underneath.
- your meal is served on a mini toilet bowl
- drinks come in plastic urinals (you can take that home with you)
- soft-serve ice cream is served in a dish shaped like a turkish toilet
the restaurant is growing in popularity and is moving into china. restaurant manager chen min-kuang says it’s supposed to ’shock and confuse the senses.’ call me crazy, i don’t think i want my senses shocked and confused (in a bad way) when i’m eating. but i can imagine it’d be brought to some place like new york and the foodies would be all over it as some kind of “artistic eatery”. like in “can’t buy me love” and patrick dempsey’s character ronald the dork got to do the dance from african dance show on pbs.
