like pamela anderson and jenna jameson, the ‘bacon explosion’–a recipe conceived by barbecue enthusiasts jason day and aaron chronister, the barbecue chefs behind the blog burnt finger bbq , is huge on the internet. the two concocted the recipe to respond to a message they received via twitter* asking them to do something with bacon. the now famous recipe that has been linked to over 16,000 times.
if you intend to make the bacon explosion for this sunday’s superbowl party, you’ll need:
- 2 pounds thick cut bacon
- 2 pounds Italian sausage
- 1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce
- 1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub
call me crazy but i don’t think the peeps at men’s health found had heard about this one before releasing this.
* i wonder if the twitter message came from someone’s special blackberry.
