what about cigarette pants?
fashionistas beware. skinny jeans may be hazardous to your health–they can cause something called meralgia paresthetica– pressure on the femoral cutaneous nerve that runs through the thigh that causes burning and tingling in the thigh area.
meralgia paresthetica is common in construction workers, pregnant women, and obese people but is now a phenomenon experienced by wearers of skinny jeans.
luckily, the damage caused by it can be repaired–just transition to a boot-leg or trouser jean. no comment yet from kate moss, the model who made the skinny jean mainstream.
