wild thang

let’s face it, if the book sells, someone is going to make a movie out of it. it might’ve taken 46 years and $80 million dollars but maurice sendak’s beloved children’s book, where the wild things are, is finally coming to film with a cast that includes forest whitaker and james gandolfini. directed by spike jonze, the film has been 9 years in the making. inital reports early last year claimed the film was too “dark” and not child-friend and rumors of a reshot of the entire film followed. based on the trailer, it seems those problems no longer exist. i’m thinking it won’t take that long before this makes it to broadway and joins spidey.
