15 minutes with bill hemmer
you know we’ve been busy when it takes us a week to watch and report back on a bill hemmer interview. the 15+ minute interview with media beat didn’t really tell us anything new (how his on-air career got started, his many roles at cnn and why he moved to fox) and repeats some of the things we’ve since heard from him in print (since 9/11 haiti has been the story that “haunted” him the most). what is new is what he thinks are the upcoming news trends (cable news over internet) and banana toast (see video 3).

Coulda mailed that one in. How come people keep interviewing him? Never anything new to say. I think his named should be changed from Flying Fish to Lap Dog.
In his defense, it’s not his fault they keep asking him the same questions and the interviewers don’t so their homework. I mean that question about technical challenges reporting in Haiti, he already answered that 5/6 times just a few weeks ago. That said, he does have his canned responses and his list of stories he likes to retell.
I’ll interview him and I won’t ask him the same questions, I guarantee!
First question, did you have a speech impediment as a child? If so, how did you overcome it?
How’s that? Better than, what’s your most memorable story. Gotta make the man human instead of a Ken doll.
Scarlet – would love to see that interview!
Here’s a new article about bill … “What Football Taught Me” http://tinyurl.com/y9jm49t Again, no much new or interesting.
