ex-cnn reporter needs your help
previously cnn’s american morning internet correspondent, veronica de la cruz, made a living reporting on how people are using the internet to further their causes – whether personal, political or business – so it’s no wonder that she’s found a outpouring of support for her brother, eric, online. eric lives in nevada and needs a heart transplant. the problem for him isn’t finding a heart (at least not yet), it’s getting through the red tape to get put on the transplant list. nevada doesn’t have a transplant center so he needs to get on a transplant list in another state. only thing is he’s on nevada medicaid which will only pay for an transplant in nevada. pretty messed up wouldn’t you say?
de la cruz has used twitter and facebook to gather support for her brother asking them to write to the senator to push for a earlier hearing in the nevada courts on the case, it’s currently scheduled for a year from now. and because eric’s condition is becoming more and more critical by the day, they’ve also just started asking for donations.
