fox news reported on america’s newsroom that botox may have some other unpleasant side effects like traveling from the injection site to the brain. according to the report published in the journal of neuroscience after botulinum toxin (botox) was injected into the whisker muscles of rats, within three days “remnants of a protein broken down by the toxin in an area of the brainstem. The toxin also moved from one hippocampus, which controls long-term memory and spatial navigation, to the hippocampus on the opposite side of the brain, and from the superior colliculus, the part of the brain associated with eye-head coordination, back to the eye.”
kinda gross.
what was more intriguing about the story though, was that when reporting the story, flying fish (bill hemmer) and friend (megyn kelly) seemed totally intrigued by the concept of botox (like they’d never heard of it). oddly enough though, flying fish knew about doctor discounts. it looked like both of them wanted to raise an eyebrow about the story — but they couldn’t.
wonder why?
