george in the morning?
it’s been confirmed that abc is in “intensive negotiations” with george stephanopoulos to replace diane sawyer on good morning america when she leaves at the end of the month (she’s replacing charlie gibson on world news starting dec 21). it is unlikely that stephanopoulos would be able to keep both his sunday job hosting sunday’s this week since good morning america is a 2 hour program monday thru friday and this week is a weekly 1 hour program and that would be a shame. personally, i think he should turn the offer down. it’d be a waste of his political knowledge and connections and i really wouldn’t want to see him attempt to remold himself to fit into a light fluffy morning news program. what do you think?
