life imitating ‘art’?
a while back we profiled kal penn, a celebrity that left hollywood in order to serve his country. after a year or so, penn, of “harold and kumar” fame announced last month that he was done serving his country and would be heading back to lalaland to film a christmas themed harold and kumar movie. if a movie wasn’t enough to seal the deal, boyfriend was mugged monday night in washington dc–at gunpoint. he was walking through dupont circle at 1:30 a.m. (one of the most chill places in d.c.) and the mugger took his wallet–thankfully, he was not harmed.
even more interesting, the mugging came one week after the show “how i met your mother“, which features harold and kumar alum doogie hauser (em, neil patrick harris), aired the eposide called zoo or false in which the character marshall claimed he was mugged by a monkey. you can watch the episode here.
what i want to know is:
do you think penn worked with les moonves to make his exit from dc more dramatic?
