morning joe gets some joe
in a deal said to be worth more than $10 million dollars, msnbc’s morning joe with joe scarborough, mika brzezinski and willie geist (at least until the end of the month when he moves on to his own show) started this morning with a new sponsor, starbucks coffee. along with a new logo for the show, the deal includes other starbucks graphics and mentions of the coffee maker several times throughout the 6 to 9am program hours. said howard schultz, chairman, president and ceo of starbucks “We are pleased to be working with MSNBC to further underscore Starbucks relevancy by extending the coffeehouse culture and combining the daily morning coffee ritual with informed discussions about important news topics.”
