an article in the new york times profiles bobbie batista, formerly of cnn and now of onion news. unlike, the daily show, the onion news takes a totally fake story and delivers it straight. bonnie wondered if taking the job at onion would make her look “less newsy” in the eyes of her former colleagues but she took her “(low) opinion of the state of cable news today and saw that the space between real and fake news was shrinking” and decided to go for it. batista joins former cnn anchor daryn kagan in new media ventures. below is a clip about a new drug. it’s quite funny.
