so, jon kelley has been named the host of the new mole on ABC. some of the stories announcing his new hosting gig call jon “the new anderson cooper”*–i’m not sure i would go that far, but, he is quite awesome.
you see, i’ve known about jon for a long long long time.
before his gig at extra, jon was a sports guy in one of my favorite cities–chicago. he reported on the chicago bulls during the height of the time that we were all sniffing the rare air.
i actually met jon once through a friend who was also giving the play-by-play. before that, he was a cornhusker of the nebraska kind and the huskers used to be killer. excluding tom brokaw, kelley could be my first anchor crush.
if the success of sacred bird post-mole is any indicator of jon’s coming succes, me thinks we’re going to have to start a new site for mr. good lookin’*.
* yes, anderson cooper was the host of a reality tv show.
