i couldn’t figure out how to say “day 3″ in laotian, so welcome. congratulations anonymous commenter, you were correct, matt lauer landed in laos. he looked a little worse for wear, but still handsome and scruffy. the country looks absolutely beautiful and is now added to my list of countries to visit when i do my someday bike trip. but enough about me, here’s the news from laos today*:
- the country opened up its version of tora bora to the world.
- westerners still think the press could loosen up a little.
- they are still finding bombs 30 years later
