what about the elephant in the room?
remember back when the republican party called out then-candidate obama for wanting to redistribute the wealth?* how they thought he was going to be using the tax code to “wrong” the ship?** i am beginning to think that president obama meant something different back when he was a candidate. i think he meant to say redistribute ‘their‘ wealth, not ‘our‘ wealth. well, it seems to me that obama’s nominees are more like the republicans than they are like president obama: it was announced tuesday that ron kirk, his pick for u.s. trade representative is another tax evader –#4 to be exact (click here to read about the others). seems mr. kirk forgot to account for some speeches he made, oh, and uh, he over-estimated how much he gave to charity.
right now, somebody has got to be feeling a little like a jackass.
