heads up
i’m glad we’re only one night away from the end of the dem convention. i love politics but as i was telling 180, i hate watching speeches and i can use a breather before the repub convention next week. if you haven’t had time to watch it, tonight is the can’t miss night as obama will be officially accepting the nomination. here’s a few things to watch for:
the money shot – taken with the same aerial cameras that cover the denver broncos games, the aerial shots were suppose to be exclusive to cnn. after the other networks heard about it and caused a stink, cnn agreed to share it’s toys in return for splitting the 100k price tag.
will he or won’t he show up? – rumor is that bill clinton will not be attending obama’s acceptance speech. after his glowing endorsement of obama during his speech on day 3, i would think he has put all his own bitterness aside. or does he really just have something better to do like wash his hair?
change in venue – if you’ve been watching, you know that the convention has thus far been held at the pepsi center. it’ll be moved to the invesco football field for the acceptance speech to accomdate a larger crowd (and fireworks, i hear).
background/stage – abc news is saying obama’s stage will resume a “greek temple” but based on the below photo from yesterday, i would agree with the chickaboomer media blog that it really seems to resemble the white house more. either “greek temple” (greek god) or white house (presidental), it’s genius of the obama campaign.
