venezuelan president hugo chavez has started a talk-a-thon that airs on tv and radio in celebration of his 10th anniversary as head of state. the show alo’ presidente (hello president) that he started just after he was elected is very popular and has been copied by other chiefs in central and south america (mexico’s vicente fox, brazil’s luiz inacio lula da silva). during the show chavez has been known to break into song, bring special guests, and make fun of george w. bush all while talking up the benefits of socialism. the show is expected to go on for four (4) whole days and will have intermittent breaks. a clip from a show celebrating his good buddy fidel castro is presented below. almost as exciting as law & order, isn’t it?
