i wonder if his dad will help him get into clown college
i don’t know how we missed this*, but um, i think the we are starting to get a picture of what w’s next gig is going to be–circus act. apparently he used the g8 summit as a testing ground for his new material. here are the highlights:
- gag gifts: w.’s white house press packet described italy’s prime minister silvio burlesconi as one of the “most controversial leaders in the history of a country known for government corruption and vice.”
- one liners: w. closed a meeting saying “goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter” while faux boxing (punching the air and grinning).
in both cases, the jokes went over ted danson’s schtick at whoopi goldberg’s roast a couple years ago. maybe w. should just stick to his day job (i can’t believe i just wrote that).
