megan fox can now join the airforce
the air force lifted a ban on recruits donning tattoos on the saluting arm. the ban was in place because it was believed that it tarnished the image of the air force, but, after 26 recruits were turned away in one week (and put in jeopoardy the recruitment of another 17K) they decided to ease the rule. the ban was put in place on november 25 and “came amid rising enlistment levels to the military due, in part, to a surge in unemployment. despite a steady flow of casualties in afghanistan, the u.s. defence department recently said it had exceeded recruitment goals across the army, navy, air force and marine corps for the first time since 1973, signing up 169,000 people in a year, plus 138,000 reservists.”
so, despite the marilyn tattoo, looks like ms. fox could get in. my bet is though, that the filming of transformers 3 will keep her out of basic training. what do you think?
