oh no you didn’t
zee leetle man nicolas sarkozy and his leetle government may have gone too far zees time. june 6th marks the 65th anniversary of the allied invasion of france at normandy and the french decided not to invite the queen elizabeth ii. the snub was made even worse because cool kid in school, president barack obama will be on-hand to celebrate. luc chatel, spokesman for the french said “the june 6 celebration is foremost a franco-american celebration,” and he went on to blame it on the united states saying it occurs on u.s. territory –the american military cemetery at colleville-sur-mer (10s of thousands of brits and canucks joined the americans on the invasion). they also blamed it on prime minister gordon brown saying that he received an invitation and it was his responsibility to ask the queen, not theirs. the british press has had scathing responses to the snub. my favorite headline was from the daily mail reads “a diminutive egomaniac, the stain of nazi collaboration and why the french can’t forgive us for saving them in the war.”
you know how there was that saying “if it weren’t for us, you’d be speaking german?” all i gotta say is, start practicing that arabic cause it’s clear that when they come, you’re on your own france. my bet is that there’s great demand on that voodoo doll that got so much play at christmas.
