apparently the administration at middletown, pennsylvania’s three mile island nuclear power generator thought it it was too much information to inform the town’s inhabitants about the radiation leek that occured there saturday ’cause the people in the town found out about the leak watching the national news.
if you’re too young to remember, three mile island is the site of the nation’s worst nuclear power accident but of course, officials say that there is no need to worry. nuclear regulatory spokeswoman diane screnci said “based on the information that was provided to us by the company, the level of the dose they received was a small fraction of the nrc’s regulatory limit…there was no impact on public health and safety.”
tell that to the 150 people working there when the leak occured. homer simpson totally woulda called in sick today.
