news you can use: the weekend edition
now we know why it’s been raining all week. in a country that loves celebrities, this was a rough one. ed mcmahon, farrah fawcett, and michael jackson–all gone. in a country that also values freedom it was hard to sit on the sidelines and watch what happened in iran.
this week was so sad, it made us want to put on a burka and hide away, sitting on the couch watching only andy clips and fake news and reading only fantasy escapist things like his mom’s book. we’d throw all caution to the wind and stuff our faces with batch after batch of chocolate chip cookies. we’d get so isolated that eventually they’d have to send the dogs after us. that’s no lie.
this was the week that was ending june 26, 2009.
