news you can use: the weekend edition

oh how the days go by. it’s the 3rd week of november and the world continues to bring us news we can use here at sacred bird. here’s the week that was ending november 20, 2009.
- anderson cooper celebrated somebody’s 40th (not his, he’s already in the over 40 crowd)
- speculation about where lou dobbs would land next was rampant (our guess is he’ll stay in the country).
- controversy about breast cancer swirled (women wondered what to do next).
- subway began a trek to the moon (well, really high up).
- we learned that the post office is too big to fail (though maybe these envelopes could help them out).
- ea du vouz should be the name of the new perfume (we call it public transportation here).
- baby naming became a business (it probably was before).
- france lost some of its cool (and the police will do nothing about it).
- an expose on bill hemmer’s friday rituals came out (the yawn could be heard from as far as ohio).
