news you can use: weekend edition
here’s to another week in the bag–the week that was ending october 23, 2009. a lot happened this week crossing all of the categories that are important for staying in-the-loop. here’s the stuff that happened:
- business and economy: drugstores went green, bananas made a move to stay yellow.
- science and technology: the secret of the tank was revealed (sorta), the russians got rid of snow, h1n1 spread, bing became a contender.
- world: hitler’s ugly mug appeared again and heroin was said to be creeping over the borders.
- culture: the creamy crack took the spotlight along with black barbie, idiots who love reality shows, \ a sex show went on the road, and a beer that became uncool.
- media: evil technophobes got hip to technology
and last but not least:
- bird watching: anderson cooper got hotter by the push-up.
