news you can use: weekend edition
here at sacred bird we prefer to keep you up-to-date on the stuff that matters (or at least will make you look charming and whitty) with colleagues, dates, interviewers, and other folks looking for some news they can use. here’s the week that was ending november 6, 2009. for some reason, the news this week had a hint of violence, maybe it was because we were only a week away from halloween.
- in addition to on-air maneuvers, lou dobbs dodged bullets off-air too
- mcdonald’s shot straight to the bottom of the list of “great places to work”
- kellogg’s may have shot itself in the foot with claims of immunity
- some people shouted ‘hooray!’ for dead meat
- everyone agreed that texting while driving is deadly
- a russian guy killed a lot of vodka but escaped without major injury
- checked baggage made people want to commit suicide, just ask bill hemmer
- fans of u2 wanted to scream bloody murder
- shep and andy were dead ringers for each other, morning newswise
