it’s a just a blob

rorschachnext time your psychologist shows you an inkblot and asks you what you see, you might want to try to sneak a peek on your iphone and look it up on wikipedia. there’s a hot debate between the wikipedia purist and psychologists over the rorschach inkblots that have been posted along with the common/expected responses of what people see when they look at them. the rorschach test was created in 1921 by psychiatrist hermann rorschach and is still commonly used for psychological assessment today. a patient’s responses of what they see when they look at a series of inkblots are linked by psychologists to certain psychological conditions. doctors are concern that people will try to use the information to game the assessment test. they’re equating making the information public to posting the results to the SATs while dr. heilman, the man who posted most of the content aka wikipedia purist, is equating the removal of the tool and their answers to china’s attempt to control the news about the tiananmen massacre.

by the way, inkblot #10 above is suppose to be a human.  do you see that cause i surely don’t.
