here at sacred bird, we like stories about releases. especially when they invove birds. close to 400 penguins that had mysteriously washed up on brazil’s equatorial beaches were flown south by cargo plane and released closer to the freezing cold waters they’re used to. it was the largest ever penguin release in south america. in recent months, 1,000 penguins have washed up on brazil’s northeastern coast — 20 percent of the penguins died and the rest were not well enough to send back with the others.
by the way, the penguins were a little pissed that the others weren’t dressed appropriately.
