or so colton harris-moore, aka the barefoot bandit, will probably tell you. just 19, he was caught by the police in the Bahamas today for a string of crime across the states including stealing several planes throughout the two years he was on the run. he was reportedly barefoot when taken in by police, like he often was when he committed his crimes. strangely, harris-moore has also become a little of a hero for what his mother has called victimless crimes (stolen property and burglaries). he has over 70,000 facebook fans and you can find “Fly, Colton, Fly” t shirts in seattle, where he is originally from. rumors are that his mother is in talks to sell his story to Hollywood. hopefully, she’ll get him a deal that includes shoes.

if you can’t decide between the iphone or evo, maybe these two videos will help you decide. brian maupin, who worked as a phone salesperson at best buy before his videos were discovered, made the animated cartoon of a cute bear buyer who goes into “phone mart” to buy an iphone. despite what the cute bear salesperson says, the cute bear buyer cannot be swayed to consider the htc evo phone. the second video is an htc evo phone user who appears in an apple store to get service for his phone. after the videos were discovered, maupin was fired from best buy despite the fact that neither of the videos mention best buy. both videos are hilarious* but beware, you might find these videos offensive… that is if you’re like the idiot characters in these videos who are clueless about the decisions they make and don’t listen to anything people say… or maybe if you don’t like a lot of swearing.

you can now do more to help your neighbor but they need to approve your actions
you can pay your neighbors to help you with task
there’s a story line (eg harvest flowers to make a bouquet for your spouse
“living world effects” exist such as tree growing larger and forest animals like bears

secret society hoodies on sale on ebay

mark zuckerberg, founder of facebook.com, was at the wall street journal’s d:all things digital conference last week and caused a little commotion when he took off the hoodie he was wearing. the techie blog world went crazy dissecting the insignia/logo that appeared on the inside of the hoodie. what did it mean, where did he get it from, where can we get one, they asked. facebook has been mum but the hoodie has now appeared for sale on ebay. there’s two listings so far, the first is at $1,025 and it’s gotten 37 bids by a seller who claims it’s a employee only item and he/she received it as a gift from an employee. the second listing is new and has no bids yet but it has a starting price for $150 for the hoodie and matching sweat pants. without some confirmation from facebook, there’s no way to know if these are authentic or not. i won’t be surprised if we hear in a couple of weeks that some guy was printing these in his basement.

google publishes a monthly list of top 1000 most visited websites based on traffic through google.com and it’s no surprise that facebook and yahoo are the top 2 in april 2010. check out the top 15 below. i found it interesting that baidu.com and sina.com.cn made the list since they’re both chinese language sites, baidu.com a search engine for chinese content sites and sina.com.cn, a chinese content portal. i was also kind of surprised that youtube.com was not on the list. what other sites are you surprised of that didn’t make the list?

by now everyone has heard that gary coleman died over the weekend. a sad sad ending for a guy with a troubled story. the developers of android apps may have been distraught but were able to get over their grief to develop a gary coleman tribute app to pay respects to the actor (there was no info about a similar app for the iphone). the new app is free and has a montage of cute gary pics. and no story about this man would be complete without this: my bet is that if coleman hears about this in the great beyond, his response will be “what choo talkin’ about, willis?”.
